Fabrics
Nylon
Most Zip-covers are made of an outdoor-use nylon fabric. Even though it is not a recognizable name-brand like Sunbrella, it has excellent properties such as duability, fade resistance and UV protection. We feel nylon is the best choice for covers considering the most common types of use our covers see. It is soft, flexible and easy to handle.
The available colors for this fabric are Dark Blue, Bright Blue, Burgundy, Yellow, Red , Forest Green, Bright Green, Silver, and Pink.
Polyester
Polyester is a heavier, thicker fabric which provides extra duability. It has excellent water repellent properties, and is a good choice for covers that will see prolonged outdoor exposure.
The available colors for this fabric are Dark Blue, Burgundy, Yellow, and Red.
Sunbrella®
Sunbrella® is a popular brand of outdoor-use fabric. It has very good UV resistance. The abrasive resistance qualities of both nylon and polyester fabrics are superior to Sunbrella. For that reason, Sunbrella is not recommended for use in unpadded covers if you intend to transport your boat often.
